My Program

I remember the feeling of embarrassment turning bright red boarding a plane because I couldn’t lift my own carry on bag onto the overhead bin. I remember the feeling of dread about putting swimsuits on during vacations and even more annoyed I had to spend extra money for coverups. I remember staying no to events or social gatherings because I felt ashamed of my body.

Determined that wasn’t how I wanted to live in my body, I made my way into the gym weight room for the first time. Turning bright red again feeling like everyone was watching me, didn’t know what to do besides bicep curls and felt the heat in face get even hotter because I just felt stupid. I started ripping out workout routines from fitness magazines taking them to the gym and hoping I’d find an empty corner in the gym to do the workout stuffed in my pocket.

I believe with disciple and passion we can accomplish any physical goal you set.

On a rainy spring day after 6 months of cardio machines and crumbled page workouts, I marched my booty into Crunch and hired a female trainer. Sweating bullets as she ran my credit card for a thousand dollars I didn’t have, praying she’d teach me how to use weights.

2 months and 4k later I was finally learning how to squat, how to use all those weight in the gym and what things like mind+muscle were. I had a basic diet plan (wasn’t near enough food) but I was seeing some progress so I went all in and decided to compete in a bodybuilding show! I always wanted the confidence to put on a bikini and feel great about it. I hired a bodybuilding male trainer (a guy has to know what to do, right?!) 15 weeks later and 15lbs lighter, with 3 spray tans on my skin I marched my booty on stage and did what I had set out to accomplish! Feeling confident in a bikini! Didn’t place or win trophies. But something in that time had shifted. I had fallen in love with the fitness life. Working at a hair salon for 4 years up to that point now every lunch break or between clients I was reading about nutrition, carried my Arnold bodybuilding book in my backpack with pride and started cutting back hours at work to go the gym as often as possible

I believe that exercise can be a spiritual practice, a time to be fully present in the moment connected with your mind and body.

Having just gone through the biggest heartbreak of my life before I stepped foot in that gym a year prior to do those bicep curls now I had found a place to rebuild my strength - not just physically but within my soul. It was a place I could spend time making myself better. It was the place I could go with my new friends and for the first time in my life other women were approaching me asking if I could help them or how I knew to do what I was doing. Never the “strong” girl, I wasn’t an athlete growing up and at 5 '10 and 135lbs I’d been called OliveOil my whole life! LOL and how now I had a place I felt strong and confident in. :)

About 4.png

I believe that living a consciously healthy lifestyle is vital to a fulfilled life.

For the next two years my love affair with all things working out and eating healthy held strong. Finally got the courage and ordered my set of books to study for my certification to become a personal trainer. At this point I was labeled the “crazy gym girl” by most everyone in my life LOL (all in good fun) and when I confessed my training intentions to my trainer friends and boyfriend - every single one of them told me it was a horrible idea, not to do it, stay in the hair industry. For a year I listened to those clowns while the books sat in my room collecting dust. Fed up with feeling like I was I was perpetually unhappy and dreading going to work everyday. I demoted myself to part time, found an intense work course and studied every night after work for 4-5hours until I passed my certifications and was hired at the same gym I found my first trainer at.

I committed myself to being the best coach and trainer I can possibly be. Which is easy to do with that fire of passion lives inside. ;-) I strive to be your coach, teacher and support system. Constantly ask myself how can I teach women what I wish I knew when I first started on this journey. I start my workday with a grateful heart because I work with amazing women and together we improve the quality of their life. Working with me you will learn how to move your body safely, you will have a clear understanding of your workouts and what to do in the gym. Your nutrition goals will be met with care and a thoughtful process. No crash diets or hours of cardio on my programs! Together we will accomplish any and all fitness goals you set for yourself.

I believe that every woman should look in the mirror naked and love what they see.
